01 — Product Overview

Standalone Dust Suppression.
No Mains. No Hoses. No Problem.

Traditional site dewatering is a labour-intensive, equipment-heavy process. A submersible pump, hose runs back to an outfall or temporary storage, multiple operatives, and a setup time that can exceed an hour per application. All of that before a drop of water has been moved.

The WetBag changes the equation. Everything needed to dewater a trench, flooded excavation or area of surface water is in one relocatable unit — the pump, the tank, the hose connections. Positioned by your existing excavator in minutes. No mains power. No hoses across site. No secondary machines.

The WetBag can pump directly to an outfall when one is accessible, or store water in its 2,000L tank when it isn't — enabling dewatering in completely isolated areas before the tank is relocated for discharge. The hydraulic pump variant connects to the excavator's own hydraulic circuit, eliminating the need for a separate diesel engine altogether.

The Key Difference

Every competing dewatering solution on the market is either a static pump you carry to the job, or a towed unit with its own engine and hose requirements. The WetBag combines tank + pump + Easy-Lift in one excavator-compatible unit — a genuinely new category of site dewatering equipment.

At a Glance

2,000L storage tank allows temporary water storage where no outfall is immediately available

3-inch dirty water pump handles water with suspended solids from trenches and excavations

Diesel or hydraulic pump — the hydraulic option connects to the excavator, saving separate fuel costs

No mains power — fully standalone, operable anywhere on site without services

Suction & discharge hose storage — integrated, preventing hoses being laid across site and damaged

Pump or gravity discharge depending on site requirements and outfall availability

02 — Key Features

What Makes the
DustBag Different.

Saves a Minimum of One Hour per Application

The WetBag saves a minimum of one hour per dewatering application on setup versus traditional pumping methods — by eliminating hose deployment, connection and break-down from the process.

Reduces Labour from 3 Men to 1

Traditional site dewatering requires 2–3 operatives to manage pump operation, hose running, monitoring and relocation. The WetBag reduces this to a single operator using the existing excavator on site.

Eliminates Hoses Across Site

Hoses trailing across a construction site are a trip hazard, a damage risk and an access obstruction. The WetBag's integrated hose storage prevents hoses from being laid around site — improving safety and access for other plant and operatives.

Ensures Correct Waste Water Disposal

The WetBag ensures waste water arising on site is disposed of in the correct place. The 2,000L tank allows water to be stored and transported to the correct discharge point rather than discharged uncontrolled on-site.

Diesel or Hydraulic Pump Options

Choose between a diesel engine pump for fully independent operation, or a hydraulic drive variant that connects to the excavator's auxiliary hydraulic circuit — eliminating the need for a separate engine and saving additional fuel costs.

80% Faster Pumping of Footings & Bases

Speeds up pumping of footings, bases and excavations by up to 80% compared to current traditional methods — directly reducing the dewatering time that holds up programme progress on groundworks and civil engineering projects.

04 — Process

How the WetBag
Works on Site.

01

Position by Excavator

The WetBag is lifted and positioned at the required dewatering location by the site excavator using the MW Easy-Lift System — no chains, no banksman, no secondary machine. Works across waterlogged and uneven ground where a tow vehicle would be impractical.

02

Connect Suction Hose

Connect the suction hose (stored on the integrated hose reel) to the water source — flooded trench, excavation or surface water area. The dirty water pump handles water with suspended solids from groundworks and construction activities.

03

Pump to Outfall or Store

When an outfall is accessible, connect the discharge hose and pump directly. When no outfall is available, pump into the 2,000L tank for temporary storage until the WetBag can be relocated to a discharge point. Gravity discharge is also available.

04

Relocate as Required

As dewatering operations progress across the site, the WetBag is repositioned by excavator — following the work front without the hose deployment, connection and disconnection that traditional methods require for each new position.

Key Formula

Labour saving = men saved × working hours per day × labour rate.

Example: 2 men saved × 8 hours × £24/hr = £384 saved per day

Hydraulic Drive Advantage

The hydraulic pump option connects directly to the excavator's auxiliary hydraulic circuit — drawing power from the machine already on site. This eliminates the need for a separate diesel engine, reduces fuel costs, reduces maintenance requirements and simplifies the overall dewatering operation.

06 — Frequently Asked Questions

DustBag
FAQs.

The WetBag is a portable site dewatering and dirty water pumping unit that combines a 2,000L storage tank with a 3-inch dirty water pump in one relocatable unit. Designed for removing surface water, flooded trenches and excavations on construction and groundworks sites. No mains power required. Relocated by excavator via the patented MW Easy-Lift System — no chains, no tow vehicle.

Traditional site dewatering requires 2–3 operatives to manage pump setup, hose running and monitoring. The WetBag combines tank storage and pumping in one unit with integrated suction and discharge hose storage — reducing the operation to a single operator. Setup time savings of one hour or more per application versus traditional methods are typical.

No. The WetBag is fully standalone — no mains power connection required. The pump is available in diesel engine or hydraulic drive variants. The hydraulic option connects to the excavator's auxiliary hydraulic circuit, drawing power from the machine already on site and saving additional fuel costs. This makes the WetBag fully operational anywhere on site, including areas with no services.

Yes. The WetBag's 3-inch dirty water pump handles water with suspended solids — suitable for flooded trenches, water-filled excavations and surface water on active construction sites. The unit can pump directly to an outfall or store water in the 2,000L tank when no outfall is immediately available, enabling dewatering in completely isolated areas.

The WetBag is primarily used in construction and groundworks (flooded trench and excavation dewatering), agricultural and farming (field drainage), highways and utilities (trench dewatering on road and utility infrastructure projects) and plant hire (as a hireable dewatering asset). Its standalone, no-mains-power operation makes it practical across any site without services.
